Gemius publishes TOP websites in August 2021
Internet technology and research company Gemius has published the most visited website Top in Estonia in August 2021. In total and mobile statistics, the biggest increases in numbers were shown for portal ohtuleht.ee, while top leader delfi.ee showed significant increase in audience from computers.
Total statistics for all devices
In August total statistics top as previously is revealed by delfi.ee with an audience of 705 000 and increase by +16 000 users comparing to July data. With the biggest increase in numbers – by +30 000 readers – site ohtuleht.ee takes second place with 465 000 users from all devices together. Meanwhile keeping the 3rd place in the total statistics top with audience decrease by -16 000 portal tv3.ee reached 309 000 users in previous month. Showing the biggest decrease in numbers while returning to the audience level as in June news portal geenius.ee is 4th with 255 000 users, but Top 5 is closed by vk.com with 108 000 Real Users and small decrease by -2 000 visitors.
In addition to the above mentioned, two sites showed similar audience increases in numbers in August. Sites mail.ee audience increased by 2 000 users and reached 88 000 visitors while with same increase portal liigume.ee audience in previous month was 21 000 Real Users. Although all sites maintained their positions in the top, decreases were also noted for sites ok.ru with decrease by -6 000 Real Users (47 000 visitors in August), also for kirss.net with -600 users (6 000 Real Users from all devices in August) and mail.ru with the same decrease and 96 000 visitors in previous month.
Real Users and computers
Compared to July data Computer top leaders showed significant increases in August. In the 1st place with 512 000 users and the biggest increase among top sites – by +40 000 users – is delfi.ee, followed by ohtuleht.ee with 254 000 visitors and increase by +28 000, while tv3.ee with 106 000 users and increase by 14 000 is 3rd like in previous month. With decrease by -11 000 Real Users compared to July portal geenius.ee is 4th with an audience of 74 000 users from computers, but Top 5 is closed by mail.ru and 71 000 visitors (-3 000 Real Users).
Both showing increase by +5 000 site mail.ee reached 60 000 visitors from computers in August but portal vk.com reached 56 000 Real Users. Meanwhile small decreases were noted for ok.ru with -1 000 visitors (27 000 users from computers in August) and liigume.ee with -200 users, reaching 7 000 visitors in previous month.
Real Users from mobile devices
As in total statistics the biggest increase in numbers in previous month – by +31 000 users – was noted for portal ohtuleht.ee taking 2nd position in the top with audience of 437 000 Real Users from mobile devices. Like previously 1st place is taken by delfi.ee with 697 000 visitors and increase by +14 000 users. Meanwhile other top leaders showed decreases in mobile statistics. With 264 000 users and decrease by -22 000 tv3.ee takes 3rd position, while with biggest decrease in numbers among top sites – by -70 000 Real Users – site geenius.ee switches places and takes 4th place, but Top 5 is closed by vk.com and 70 000 visitors in August (-6 000 users).
Without already mentioned audience increase by +2 000 readers was noted for site liigume.ee and 14 000 Real Users from mobile devices in August. Meanwhile despite audience decreases two sites – mail.ru and mail.ee reached similar audiences of 41 000 Real Users from mobile devices, accordingly, showing drops by -1 000 and -2 000 visitors, while with decrease by – 1 000 portal ok.ru reached 29 000 visitors. It should be mentioned that site kirss.net with 5 000 users from mobile devices – phones and tablets together – joined the top replacing portal iluguru.ee.

Top 10 is based on data about internet audience that is aged between 15 and 74 years of age, is from the territory of Estonian state and visit sites from computers, mobile phones, and tablets. The sites included in this top are those that participated in the gemiusAudience research in August. gemiusAudience research is based on a complex and modern methodology that allows to see the number of real persons (Real Users) within a page, rather than looking at cookies or IP addresses that do not show the number of actual persons visiting the relevant page.
