Gemius publishes Top 10 most visited websites in Estonia, January 2021
Internet technology and research company Gemius has published Top of 10 most visited websites in Estonia in January 2021. While in total statistics biggest increase in numbers was shown for postimees.ee with +25 000 Real Users, it should be noted that portal geenius.ee with notable audience increases reached 5th place in total and mobile tops.
Total statistics for all devices
The most visited site from all devices, i.e., from computers, mobile phones, and tablets together, starting the new year in January was delfi.ee with 698 000 Real Users and increase by +5 000 users compared to December, followed by postimees.ee with 644 000 and the biggest increase in numbers – by +25 000 readers. With audience increase by +6 000 Real Users, third is elu24.ee with 478 000 users. While portal ohtuleht.ee reached -6 000 users less than in December and is number four with an audience of 442 000, site geenius.ee audience increased by +17 000 – thus allowing to close TOP 5 from all devices in January.
In addition to already mentioned, audience decreases were noted for three more sites – biggest decrease in numbers in the previous month was noted for site tv3.ee with -13 000 Real Users (-5 percent), portal’s mail.ru audience decreased by -6 000 users (-5 percent), but online.ee audience from all platforms together decreased by -2 000 (-1 percent).
Real Users and computers
The leader of the Computer top in January as usual is delfi.ee with 500 000 users (+2 000 readers), but portal postimees.ee takes second position with 413 000 users, which is +3 000 users compared to December. Meanwhile portal ohtuleht.ee remains third with an audience of 268 000 (+500 users), but reaching 266 000 readers from computers in January, elu24.ee is in fourth position (+1 000 users). Accordingly, portal tv3.ee with an audience of 125 000 users closes Top 5 with audience drop by -4 000, which is the only drop in Computer top this January.
The biggest increase in numbers and percentage was noted for site geenius.ee – by +15 000 Real Users – reaching 109 000 readers from computers in January (+14 percent). Also, notable increases in computer audience were shown for sites mail.ru with +4 000 users (+4 percent) and portal neti.ee with +3 000 (+3 percent).
Real Users from mobile devices
Mobile top in January showed audience increases for almost all Top 10 sites. The top is revealed by delfi.ee in the 1st place with 667 000 Real Users from mobile phones and tablets together, which is +8 000 Real Users compared to December statistics. Second place is taken by postimees.ee with 594 000 visitors and the biggest increase of mobile top in numbers in January – by +26 000 Real Users. Portal elu24.ee is 3rd with 434 000 users from mobile devices and increase by +6 000 users, while ohtuleht.ee takes 4th position in Mobile top with 406 000 Real Users and decrease by -4 000 users. Meanwhile, moving up one position in the top with notable increase by +16 000 Real Users in January, Top 5 is closed by portal geenius.ee reaching 257 000 Real Users.
Biggest increase in percentage was shown for site mke.ee with +29 percent or +16 000 users from mobile devices, also allowing site to move up to 9th position in Mobile top. However biggest decrease was shown for site tv3.ee – portals audience decreased by -12 000 or -5 percent, reaching 242 000 Real Users this January.

Top 10 is based on data about internet audience that is aged between 15 and 74 years of age, is from the territory of Estonian state and visit sites from computers, mobile phones, and tablets. The sites included in this top are those that participated in the gemiusAudience research in January. gemiusAudience research is based on a complex and modern methodology that allows to see the number of real persons (Real Users) within a page, rather than looking at cookies or IP addresses that do not show the number of actual persons visiting the relevant page.
