Gemius: Most visited websites in Estonia, November 2020

Internet technology and research company Gemius has published Top of 10 most visited websites in Estonia in November 2020. In total and mobile statistics portals postimees.ee and geenius.ee showed audience decreases. Meanwhile in computer statistics ohtuleht.ee audience grew by 11 000 Real Users.

Total statistics for all devices

The most visited site from all devices, i.e., from computers, mobile phones, and tablets together, in November as in the previous months was news portal delfi.ee with 690 000 Real Users, which is the same audience as in October. Portal postimees.ee with 615 000 users and decrease by -16 000 readers maintains second position, but site elu24.ee is 3rd with the same audience as in October – 467 000 Real Users from all devices. Meanwhile in fourth position is portal ohtuleht.ee with 442 000 users from all devices, but Top 5 is closed by tv3.ee, rising one position in the top with 292 000 Real Users (- 4 000 users).

Notable decrease from all devices in previous month was shown for news portal geenius.ee with -22 000 Real Users, also leaving Top 5 and taking 6th position in the top. Small decreases were shown for sites neti.ee with -6 000 readers and vk.com with -3 000 Real Users comparing to October data.

Meanwhile site mail.ru showed biggest increase in numbers and percentage. With 121 000 users in November mail.ru reached by +13 000 or +11 percent more Real Users.

Real Users and computers

Computer top in November is revealed by delfi.ee with 505 000 users and increase by +9 000 users, but portal postimees.ee takes second position with 414 000 users, which is +4 000 users compared to October data. Meanwhile portal elu24.ee with audience increase by +8 000 takes 3rd place in the Computer top with 266 000 readers, but ohtuleht.ee is 4th with audience of 266 000 users and biggest increase in numbers – by +11 000 users. Top 5 is closed by tv3.ee with 126 000 users and decrease by -8 000 Real Users

Like in total statistics, portal geenius.ee showed audience decrease by -14 000 Real Users also in computer statistics, reaching 106 000 readers in previous month. Decreases were also noted for sites neti.ee with -7 000 users (-5 percent) and online.ee with -1 000 Real Users. Despite the changes, all sites remained their positions in the top.

Real Users from mobile devices

Mobile top in November is revealed by delfi.ee in the 1st place with 655 000 Real Users from mobile phones and tablets together, which is -4 000 Real Users compared to October statistics. Second place is taken by postimees.ee with 575 000 visitors and biggest decrease in previous month by -15 000. Meanwhile portal elu24.ee remains in 3rd position with 430 000 and increase by +9 000 users, which is biggest increase in numbers from mobile devices in November. Portal ohtuleht.ee takes 4th  position in Mobile top with 401 000 Real Users and increase by +4 000 users, but geenius.ee with audience of 253 000 users and decrease by
-6 000 readers closes Top 5.

However, audience increases were also shown for sites online.ee with +3 000 users and portal mke.ee with the same number. Small audience decreases were shown for portal vk.com with -4 000 users and tv3.ee with -1 000 readers in previous month compared to October.

Top 10 is based on data about internet audience that is aged between 15 and 74 years of age, is from the territory of Estonian state and visit sites from computers, mobile phones, and tablets. The sites included in this top are those that participated in the gemiusAudience research in November. gemiusAudience research is based on a complex and modern methodology that allows to see the number of real persons (Real Users) within a page, rather than looking at cookies or IP addresses that do not show the number of actual persons visiting the relevant page.
