TOP 20 most visited websites in Estonia from computers
The data about the most visited websites from computers in Estonia during the last four months, published by the internet technology and research company Gemius, indicates that the leaders Google and Facebook.com have maintained their positions, while delfi.ee has climbed a position higher, making youtube.com the new owner of the fourth place. During August, the top was joined by x.com and netflix.com but from the top disappeared site eesti.ee.
During the last four months Google has maintained the leader position, reaching 636 000 Real Users in August, which is by 7000 users less than a month before. With the audience dropping by 32 000 users and reaching 430 000 Real Users, the second place is taken by Facebook.com, while a 6000 increase can be seen for the owner of the third place, delfi.ee, reaching 414 000 Real Users. Delfi.ee climbed to the third place in May and has stayed there ever since, moving Youtube.com a position lower. Youtube.com has been a stable fourth place owner for the last four months, reaching 398 000 Real Users in August which is by 9000 less visitors than in July. The TOP 5 in August is closed by postimees.ee (303 000 Real Users) – this website was in the same position also in July (285 000 Real Users) and May (301 000 Real Users), but in June this position was taken by ria.ee with 301 000 Real Users.
Website ria.ee was the owner of 6th place in August (292 000 Real Users), while in July (280 000 Real Users) and May (284 000 Real Users) the position was taken by swedbank.ee but in June – by postimees.ee (279 000 Real Users). Swedbank.ee owned the 7th place both in August (272 000 Real Users) and June (275 000 Real Users), while in July (263 000 Real Users) and May (260 000 Real Users) this place was owned by ria.ee. The 8th most popular website in the last four months has been wikipedia.org reaching 212 000 Real Users in August (by 29 000 visitors less than a month before), while Instagram.com moved three positions higher in May and has remained a stable 9th place owner ever since, reaching 189 000 Real Users in August which is by 6000 more than in July. The TOP 10 in August (185 000 Real Users) and May (174 000) was closed by microsoft.com, however, in July (164 000 Real Users) and June (168 000 Real Users) the position was filled by seb.ee.
Without already mentioned, four more websites were in the TOP 20 for all four months - ohtuleht.ee with 154 000 Real Users in August, kaup24.ee which reached 133 000 Real Users in August, reddit.com reaching 128 000 Real Users in August, and lhv.ee - 116 000 Real Users in August. In the top for all months except May were present such sites as bing.com (121 000 Real Users in August) and telia.com (114 Real Users in August). During July in the top appeared site go3.tv which reached 114 000 Real Users in August, but during August in the top appeared x.com with 119 000 Real Users and netflix.com with 111 000 Real Users, while from the top disappeared site eesti.ee.
Top is based on data about internet audience that is aged between 15 and 74 years of age, is from the territory of Estonian state and visit sites from computers. gemiusAudience research is based on a complex and modern methodology that allows to see the number of real persons (Real Users) within a page, rather than looking at cookies or IP addresses that do not show the number of actual persons visiting the relevant page.
