Top 10 most visited websites in July 2018

International Internet measurement and consultancy company Gemius has published the Top of 10 most visited websites in Estonia in July 2018. Just like in June, the web page with the largest number of Real Users from all devices is postimees.ee, however, the most visited site from tablets in July was delfi.ee. The mobile phone Top remains unchanged.

In July Top three most popular websites in Estonia from all devices, i.e., from computers, mobile phones and tablets together, remain news portals postimees.ee with 622 000 Real Users, delfi.ee with 574 000 and ohtuleht.ee with 293 000 people. Furthermore, the general Top 10 from all devices also remains similar to the previous month. Namely, the only changes can be seen for the Top’s eighth and ninth positions where rising by one position and taking the eight place is site kuldnebors.ee with 129 000 Real Users and dropping by one place, thus, taking the ninth position in July top is the site mail.ru with 126 000 people.

Just as in the previous month, delfi.ee shows the highest increase in Real Users with more than +14 000 Real Users in July, closely followed by site auto24.ee with about +14 000 people. Furthermore, the biggest percentage increase of Real Users in July was noted in the pages auto24.ee and kuldnebors.ee – both reaching +5 percent more visitors than in the previous month. However, the only drop of Real Users in July was noted in the site tv3.ee, which takes the general Top’s sixth position with a decrease of -5 000 people or about -3 percent less than in June.

Real Users and computers

 

Similar to the overall statistics, the Top 5 for visits from computers remains the same as in the previous month. Namely, in first place is postimees.ee with 491 000 Real Users (+2 percent more than before), followed by delfi.ee with 467 000 people large audience from computers (+2 percent more). In third place for visits from computers is ohtuleht.ee with 219 000 Real Users (+4 percent more than in June). Neti.ee takes the fourth position with 180 000 and Top five is concluded by auto24.ee with 176 000 persons.

The sixth and seventh positions are slightly altered if compared to June. That is, in the sixth position and rising by one place is online.ee with slightly more than 116 000 Real Users (+ 1 000 or +1 percent more than before). However, in the seventh position and dropping by one place is mail.ru with 116 000 (+800 or +1 percent more than before).

The biggest increase in Real Users from computers in July was noted in the sites postimees.ee with +12 000 people and auto24.ee with +9 000. At the same time, the biggest increase for Real Users from computers percentage-wise was noted in the Top’s tenth position, i.e., for the site toidutare.ee with +8 percent. On the other hand, the only drop in visitors from computers in July was noted in the site tv3.ee with about -4 000 or -3 percent less visitors than before.

Changes in Real Users from mobile phones

 

The Top 10 most visited pages from mobile phones remains unchanged, however, all then sites show slight increases and drops in their number of visitors from phones in July. For example, out of all ten sites only three show a decrease of visitors, namely, for the site tv3.ee with -4 000 or -5 percent less Real Users and the site sky.ee with slightly less than -4 000 Real Users, which forms up to -10 percent of the site’s overall audience from mobiles. A decrease in visitors from mobile phones was also noted for the site kalkulaator.ee with a -1 000 or -5 percent drop in Real Users in July.

The highest increase in Real Users from mobile phones was noted in such sites as delfi.ee with +17 000 and postimees.ee with +10 000 visitors in July. The highest percentage increase of audience was noted in sites auto24.ee and kuldnebors.ee with +6 percent each.

Delfi.ee representative, Ekspress Media AS Product development and analysis department manager Ivar Krustok comments: “We can see that summer took full effect during the month of July. When we look at the overall monthly number we can see a lot of people turned away from their PC’s and moved to their phones and tablets.

We enjoyed a nice increase from daily visitors and that is largely thanks to us being able to substitute the PC’s decrease with a healthy increase in mobile traffic. Usually we have seen a drop in usage during the summer months, but this year has been steady. This means our editorial team is doing a great job even during the peak vacation period and is the first to cover breaking news and events.”

Changes in Real User numbers from tablets

 

The biggest changes in the Top can be noted in the most visited pages from tablets. In first place and rising by one position is delfi.ee with 161 000 Real Users. In second place and dropping by one position in July in postimees.ee with 159 000 visitors, whereas in third and fourth places remains respectively ohtuleht.ee with 60 000 people and auto24.ee with 42 000 Real Users. Top five is closed by kuldnebors.ee with 18 000 people, which has risen by three positions if compared to June.

In sixth position unchangeably remains neti.ee with 18 000 visitors. In seventh and dripping by two positions is mail.ru with 18 000 and in eight and dropping by one position is tv3.ee with slightly less than 18 000 Real Users. The tablet Top is closed by toidutare.ee with 17 000 Real Users and online.ee with 15 000 people in July.

The biggest increase in Real User visits from tablets was noted for the news portals delfi.ee with +8 000 people and postimees.ee with +6 000, however, the biggest percentage increase was noted for the sites toidutare.ee with +10 percent and ohtuleht.ee with +7 percent more Real Users than before. At the same time, a decrease in visitors from tablets was noted in two sites, namely, for the site mail.ru with around -700 or -5 percent and tv3.ee with -200 or -1 percent less Real Users than in June.

 

Top 10 is based on data about internet audience that is aged between 15 and 74 years of age, is from the territory of Estonian state and visit sites from computers, mobile phones, and tablets. The sites included in this top are those that participated in the gemiusAudience research in July. gemiusAudience research is based on a complex and modern methodology that allows to see the number of real persons (Real Users) within a page, rather than looking at cookies or IP addresses that do not show the number of actual persons visiting the relevant page.
